On their return to live gigging, Horslips were described as ‘the band that defined a generation’. Anthems like ‘Dearg Doom’ and ‘Trouble With A Capital T’ sound as fresh today as they did in the seventies when they were newly minted.
And back then, they echoed through the streets of Waterford. ‘Back when we were kids’, says bass player Barry Devlin, ‘Waterford was one of the first places outside of Dublin that welcomed us. Over the years we played in the Savoy and in Tramore and we always had fun. So it’s nice to be coming back to the Theatre Royal’.
